Más información sobre el libro

A bilingual album presenting the achievements that create the earliest and least known stage of Zdzisław Beksiński's artistic work - photography, which fascinated him for almost a decade in the 1950s. Although the later famous visionary creator maintained a distance from his photographic output for most of his life, critics and academics highly value this earliest period of his work. The text by Wiesław Banach systematically discusses the various themes and formal elements in the artist's photographic works (including portrait, nude, expression, abstraction, montage) and is originally designed by Prof. Lech Majewski, richly illustrated with photographs previously shown for the first time in this type of publication from the collections of the Historical Museum in Sanok and the National Museum in Wrocław.
