Aiming to dispel many of the fallacies regarding its design, construction and deployment, the author shows how the aircraft made famous by the Red Baron has hitherto been modelled and detailed incorrectly. He explains the significance of the markings chosen by Richtofen and includes appendices on armament, insignia and maintenance, as well as a selection of contemporary photographs.
