Más información sobre el libro
The source book of this English translation is Qian Jia Shi (Poems by a Thousand Poets.) The word thousand in the title is used in its literary sense --many. In fact, there are only 226 poems in the book by 126 renowned poets, mostly in the Tang and Song dynasties. The book is arranged by the verse seven-character jueju (four-line verse); seven-character lushi (eight-line verse); five-character jueju (four-line verse); and five-character lushi (eight-line verse). For the convenience of readers and their better understanding of the original poems and the translations, the book contains two appendices in The Biographies of the Poets and The Biographies of the Translators.
