Known as the "king of renunciates," Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Taye (1813-1899) transformed Buddhism by collecting and disseminating various Tibetan lineage traditions across sectarian lines. His extensive treasury collections of profound teachings continue to be transmitted throughout the Himalayas by all major traditions, showcasing the depth of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and practice.
