It includes not only works published in the country and abroad but also those that previously existed only in manuscripts. The first volume contains poems from 1957-1963. The second volume includes poems from 1964-1971. The third volume features poems from 1972-1986. The fourth volume contains poems from 1987-1996, poetic translations, and poems in English. The fifth volume includes essays from the collection "Less Than Selected Essays" (1986), compiled by the author himself. The sixth volume fully reproduces in Russian the book of essays "On Grief and Reason" (1995), also compiled by the author. All essays, except for two, were originally written in English. The seventh volume includes essays and articles by Brodsky that were not included by the author in the collections "Less Than One" and "On Grief and Reason." The essay "The Quay of the Incurables," published as a separate book, has been highlighted in a standalone section.
