In preparing to write this book I undertook a fresh translation of both Luke’s works, his gospel and the book of Acts. Occasionally the Greek sheds light on Luke’s intention which is not obvious in English translations. In such circumstances I discuss the Greek word or phrase and sometimes where they occur elsewhere. I hope this will inspire you even though you are unable to read the Greek text.
