The link between protected areas and tourism is as old as the history of protected areas. These guidelines, prepared by staff from IUCN - the World Conservation Union, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP, and the World Tourism Organization (WTO), aim to build an understanding of protected area tourism, and its management.
