The Man with the Golden Gun is the 13th novel written by Ian Fleming, featuring the fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond 007. It was published posthumously in the UK by Jonathan Cape, in 1965. Despite being stylistically different from and less detailed than Fleming's other works, it was a bestseller for four months. Beginning with Bond recovering from brainwashing, this treacherous exploit pits Bond against the archfiend of the Caribbean--the golden-pistoled Francisco "Pistols" Scaramanga.
