The Band Time series is developed to introduce children to playing in a wind ensemble. Band Time Starter makes this possible in the first year. This edition contains four-part pieces in various styles; the first three pieces are arranged for three parts, tailored to the skills of beginning students. The level of difficulty and the musical content are based on Listening, Reading & Playing. The score explains how to make the most of the series and how the instrumentation can be best applied to your specific ensemble. The separately available CD features the pieces performed by a concert band, allowing students to get a good impression of how the pieces sound. They can play along or listen, which will enhance motivation and study results.
