This work focuses on Michel Foucault's last published and some unpublished writings, featuring a translation of one of his final interviews, a comprehensive bibliography, and a biographical chronology. Foucault's legacy includes numerous ideas that remain to be explored. He was engaged in his history of sexuality at the time of his death in 1984, with a persistent focus on understanding the nature of truth. Thomas Flynn discusses Foucault's final lectures at the Collège de France, which centered on truth-telling as a moral virtue in ancient society. Other contributors delve into various aspects of Foucault's philosophy: Karlis Racevskis addresses identity questions central to his work, Garth Gillan examines the challenges of characterizing Foucault's philosophy, James Bernauer investigates the ethical foundations of his ideas and contextualizes his late interest in Christian experiences, and Diane Rubenstein provides a Lacanian interpretation of his final work.
