Born in 1946, Claus Bury is one of the most important artists currently creating architectural sculptures. His large-scale works, designed for viewers to examine from all sides, are conceived with urban and scenic spaces in mind. In addition to his sculptures, for more than 20 years he has worked as an architecture photographer. During his frequent travels through Europe, USA or Egypt he has absorbed influences from these very different cultures. Temples, pyramids, bridges, and artfully piled-up haystacks have all inspired his work. This book documents the photographic and sculptural work of Claus Bury and gives a penetrating insight into his creative and working methods.
