The Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden underwent extensive renovations over seven years, transforming the city's oldest theatre into a modern venue. The repertoire spanned from Baroque to contemporary pieces, showcasing the theatre as a "first-class temporary venue" that inspired artists with its 1950s charm and modern spirit. The second volume, 'Die Staatsoper Unter den Linden', focuses on the significant renovation of the historically and culturally important theatre, originally built in the Prussian neoclassical style in 1742. This restoration represents the most extensive work done on the building to date, ensuring its legacy for future generations.
