At the age of 21 he began his career as a freelance illustrator. In 1987 he moved to Spain and started illustrating fantasy book covers. He currently lives with his wife Daniela and their son Angelo in Sitges, a quaint and magical town near Barcelona, on the shores of the Meditterranean Sea.
