This work attempts to overturn gender conventions by presenting a range of images of the erotic male object, all produced by women. Drawing on the exhibition of the same name, "What she Wants" combines the work of women artists and photographers with commentary about their images and the issues raised. The artists featured in this book Barbara deGenevieve, Flow Fox, Herlinde Koebl; Grace Lau; Brigitte Maria Mayer; Robin Shaw; and Hermione Wiltshire. The text accompanying their art is provided by Linda Williams, the author of "Hard Core", Claire Pajackzkowska, Lola Young, Cherry Smyth and Naomi Salaman.
