Die vollständig überarbeitete und erweiterte Neuauflage ergänzt die 2012 erschienene und 2017 bereits erweiterte Monografie um 36 neue Projekte und versammelt die wichtigsten Bauten und Projekte des Architekten Max Dudler seit 1986. In der kompakten Zusammenstellung wird erkennbar, wie konsequent Dudler seinen konzeptionellen Ansatz aus der Geschichte der Architektur systematisch entwickelt. Die Grenzen seiner intellektuellen Heimat im Rationalismus hat Dudler früh durch eine besondere Materialsensibilität und seinen rigorosen Urbanismus verlassen. Auf jeweils zwei bis sechs Seiten werden die 92 Projekte in Bildern, Zeichnungen, historischen Referenzen und Modellansichten vorgestellt und textlich erläutert, darunter die Stadtbibliothek Heidenheim, das Empfangsgebäude des Eisenbahnmuseums Bochum, das Kinder- und Jugendtheater Ulm und der U-Bahnhof Museumsinsel Berlin.
