In den 2010er-Jahren gelingt mit der Wahl von Chokwe Lumumba zum Bürgermeister in der Hauptstadt Jackson ein wichtiger Schritt in Richtung einer Umsetzung der Vision bestehend aus Versammlungsdemokratie, solidarischer Ökonomie und einem Ende der rassistischen Ungleichheit. Lumumba stirbt 2014 überraschend, aber sein Sohn Antar und die Cooperation Jackson schreiten weiter fragend voran.
