Der Roman Habbes Hütte (der erste in einer Reihe von fünf Romanen des Autors mit ähnlichem Thema) füllt erfolgreich eine thematisch-motivische Lücke in der bosnischen Kinder-und Jugendliteratur, insbesondere diejenige, die das Erwachsenwerden der Generationen betrifft, die ihre Kindheit im goldenen Zeitalter des Sozialismus und in der Zeit danach gelebt haben. Das ist natürlich nicht der einzige Wert. Denn in der Art und Weise, diese warmen und einfachen Lebensgeschichten zu erzählen, wurde ein neuer, frischer Atem, ich würde sogar sagen, eine neue Sensibilität des jungen Protagonisten entdeckt, mit der sich auch Kinder und Jugendliche von heute leicht identifizieren können.
