Analysis of trends in development aid giving to developing countries, with particular reference to the role of capitalist countries (role of developed countries) amd role of UN and other international organizations - reviews the historical development of foreign aid policies and aid programmes, the role of private investment and profit, etc., and concludes that private foreign investment has no place in international aid targets and that what is needed now is a truly socialist aid policy.
