David Brower

    David Ross Brower fue un destacado ecologista y fundador de numerosas organizaciones ambientales. En su juventud, fue un montañista notable. Estableció la Sierra Club Foundation, el John Muir Institute for Environmental Studies, Friends of the Earth, la League of Conservation Voters, el Earth Island Institute, el North Cascades Conservation Council y las Fate of the Earth Conferences. Ocupando el cargo de primer Director Ejecutivo del Sierra Club de 1952 a 1969, también formó parte de su junta directiva en tres ocasiones.
