Tres novelas cortas "brillantes y perturbadoras" (Alejandro Zambra) de Margarita García Robayo, una de las voces más destacadas de la literatura latinoamericana actual, exponen lo mejor de su narrativa. En Hasta que pase un huracán, una adolescente de clase media anhela huir de su vida tediosa en una ciudad costera. Lo que no aprendí presenta a una niña que observa a su padre, un abogado que practica lo paranormal, buscando sanar su propia historia a través de su inocente pero lúcida perspectiva. Finalmente, en Educación sexual, se entrelazan ficción autobiográfica y ensayo en un colegio del Opus Dei en el Caribe. Este último revela las conexiones entre los tres relatos: estampas de juventud de mujeres que, con ironía, inteligencia y arrojo, desafían la tradición y los abusos, intentando reinventarse en otros mundos. García Robayo observa el mundo con atención despiadada y naturalidad, sin estar completamente afuera de lo que describe. Su escritura irradia una cruda y cálida irreverencia.
