ato kniha pojednává o fundamentálních rovnicích ve fyzice. Rovnice jsou totiž nejstručnějším a přitom zcela přesným popisem cest, jimiž se příroda ubírá. Proto také nemohou být odvozeny pouze logickými úvahami, ale jsou výsledkem kritického dialogu mezi pozorováním přírody a tvořivým myšlením. Tato kniha však není a nechce být klasickou učebnicí mate­matiky nebo fyziky. Klíčové rovnice zde proto uvádíme tak prostě a jednoduše, jak jen to jde. Nevěnujeme se dostatečně jejich empirickému ověření, přestože jedině díky bedlivému a kritickému pozorování věcí a jevů v přírodě byly tyto rovnice odhaleny.
