Conrad Franklin Kent ist Mitglied des Föderationsrates und möchte deren Präsident werden. Zu diesem Zweck startet er einen Feldzug gegen Starfleet und die Repräsentanten der Flotte. Er will sie als Kriegstreiber entlarven, um sich selbst als Friedensstifter ins rechte Licht zu rücken. Ausgerechnet die Enterprise soll Kent zur Starbase 12 bringen. Brandon jedenfalls vermisst seine Zwillingsschwester schon, bevor sie überhaupt abgereist ist. Auch Brenda ist sich ihrer Entscheidung längst nicht mehr völlig sicher - umso mehr, als sie erfährt, dass sich Dylan und Kelly sich während ihres Frankreichurlaubs getrennt haben ... Und Dylan hat außerdem noch ganz andere Sorgen: Kommt er darüber hinweg, dass sein Traum-College ihm die Aufnahme verweigert hat? Kelly stürzt sich nach ihrem Streit mit Dylan ins „richtige Leben“ und mietet erst einmal eine eigene Wohnung an - für sich, Donna und ... David. Allerdings hat die Sache einen kleinen Haken: Donnas erzkonservative Mutter dürfte von der Aussicht, dass sich ihre Tochter und deren Freund eine Wohnung teilen, nicht gerade begeistert sein. Also muss die Sache irgendwie geheim gehalten werden - und das scheint ziemlich aussichtslos zu sein!
