Renald Luzier (»Luz«), Zeichner von Mohammed-Karikaturen bei »Charlie Hebdo« und Überlebender des Terroranschlags auf die Redaktion 2015, nahm Cohens Buch zur Vorlage für seine gleichnamige Graphic Novel, in der er sich mit den Anschlägen auseinandersetzt: »Ich halte Cohens Buch für eines der wichtigsten politischen Werke des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts.«
