""Everything is beautiful,"" raved Andy Warhol, in raptures at the glamour of modern life, consumer society, the world of the media and its stars. Offensichtlich unveränderte Neuauflage (zuletzt BA 3/00). Die reichhaltig illustrierte Einführung in die wichtigste Kunstströmung der 60er-Jahre stellt die Künstler, ihre Werke und verschiedene Stilrichtungen vor. Danuta Springmann schrieb zur früheren Ausgabe, der Titel sei bereits zum "Standardwerk der neueren Kunstgeschichte" avanciert. Sie lobte die klare Gliederung und die populäre Aufbereitung des Textes. Der attraktive Band mit einer Fülle farbiger Abbildungen liegt hier in einer fadengehefteten Ausgabe mit flexiblem Cover vor. Zum Thema wurde zuletzt der ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswerte Hatje-Band von David MacCarthy angezeigt (BA 4/02). Daneben weiterhin empfohlen. (1 S) (br)
