Cecil Richard Rutt fue un sacerdote católico romano inglés y un antiguo obispo anglicano. Dedicó casi veinte años de su vida como misionero anglicano en Corea del Sur, un país por el que desarrolló un profundo afecto. Rutt representó quizás al último erudito-misionero en una línea que sentó las bases de lo que hoy se conoce como estudios coreanos. Tras retirarse como obispo anglicano, fue recibido en la Iglesia católica romana y ordenado sacerdote.
