William Francis Hillebrand

    William Francis Hillebrand fue un químico estadounidense cuya carrera académica se vio impulsada por su investigación sobre el cerio metálico, que aisló por primera vez en 1872 junto a Thomas Norton. Realizó sus estudios en la Universidad de Cornell antes de obtener su doctorado en 1875 en la Universidad de Heidelberg, Alemania. Tras su doctorado, Hillebrand pasó dos semestres trabajando bajo la tutela de Robert Bunsen.
