Los grandes sabios y genios como Einstein, con sus métodos empíricos de investigación, no podrán llegar nunca a desvelar el enigma de la manifestación cósmica. Conocemos la Verdad por la Verdad, lo pequeño por lo grande y no a la inversa. La Conciencia infinita se conoce a sí misma por el hecho de ser Conciencia infinita. Poco a poco debemos llegar a este nivel y realizar la vivencia de esa maravilla intemporal e inespacial: lo Infinito. Entonces, la Divinidad suprema, a través de su perfecta sabiduría, se convertirá en la única Realidad viviente en nuestra vida cotidiana.
Eres grandemente bendito por el simple hecho de que Dios está en ti y que has sido creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios. El Espíritu en ti es inagotable en sus facultades, en su inteligencia y poder. Cuanto más profundices en el conocimiento de este hecho, más maravillosa será tu vida. No somos seres mortales sino hijos inmortales de Dios, sustentados por Él y la finalidad de nuestra existencia es hacer la experiencia de la Divinidad en toda su plenitud y en todas sus dimensiones.
Pregunta:¿Qué opina usted sobre la situación mundial? ¿En qué terminará todo esto? Swami Omkarananda: Hay una cosa que podemos hacer: No ocuparnos del futuro del mundo, sino del presente inmediato. Podemos influir sobre nuestro futuro dedicándonos ahora a cosas espirituales, estudiando filosofía y textos espirituales, manteniendo buenos pensamientos y sentimientos, y haciendo el bien. Todo lo que pensamos, sentimos y hacemos influyeen nuestra vida futura. Todos aquéllos que tienen fe en Dios, que aman a Dios, que siguen el buen camino, están protegidos aunque el mundo entero sea destruido. El Arca de Noé ya está preparada para ellos. In this selection from the recorded talks of Swami Omkarananda we have a wide
range of subjects, from the highest flights of the Upanishads and Veda to the
humblest little practical steps of how to use the Mantra-prayer and develop
one's relationship with the Divine in daily life. Here are excerpts from some
of the best talks by Swami Omkarananda, who came to Switzerland from the
Himalayas in 1965 and was soon serving as a treasure-house of the best
spiritual forces of light and joy in the West, as many were drawn to visit and
stay, and a new Centre was formed. Swami Omkarananda is always inspiring, even
the simplest words hinting at wonderful depths of experience, holding promise
of a vast knowledge of the traditions of old India, and also a rich
acquaintance with basic human psychology, and a masterly acquaintance with the
subtler forces of Nature. These talks are easily accessible to people in the
West as well as those in India, because Swami always starts with the basic
steps of common human nature and familiar examples from daily life. The first
part is about the Tryambakam Mantra, which is valuable both for healing and
for devotion and spiritual realisation. Then there are descriptions of the
approach to the Truth, the divine Reality, as Lord and Divine Mother, Shiva
Shakti, and the true nature of the Guru-figure who plays such a central role
on the Path. There are also some examples from Swami's own life. As people in
the West gradually gain greater familiarity with the basic terms of the Vedic
traditions of India, a marvellous enrichment and harmony is discovered where
all the best in East and West, all the manifestations of Divinity, are seen to
be parts of the whole, pouring into our lives new ways of exploring the
delights of the same one God and Truth.
