"Brenda" is a woman with whom Kam used to engage in Edward Abee style monkeywrenching, until she and her husband were busted and went to prison. When she is out on parole and while her husband is still in prison, she re-establishes the affair she had once had with Kam. Kam also develops a strong bond with Brenda's twelve-year-old son.
