John Lleighton Orden de los libros (cronológico)
John Leighton fue un artista inglés célebre por sus ilustraciones y diseños de portadas de libros. Su talento para el diseño se expresó tempranamente en "Suggestions in Design..." (1852), una obra que exponía sus creencias sobre la historia del diseño. Leighton también estuvo entre los primeros en estudiar los ex libris y fomentar su colección, contribuyendo a la creación de una Sociedad de Ex Libris, de la cual fue Vicepresidente. Su producción artística se basó en gran medida en motivos decorativos históricos, aplicados repetidamente en ilustraciones de libros y cientos de diseños de portadas.
