Toto je první kniha Kámasútry přeložená přímo ze staroindického originálu, která vyšla poprvé v Československu v roce 1969, bohužel některé části byly vypuštěny díky komunistickým cenzorům. Knihu přeložil a vysvětlivkami doplnil PhDr. Vladimír Miltner, CSc. Z hlediska lékaře doprovázel čtenáře knihou MUDr. Karel Bečka. Kresbami podle fresek vyzdobila Hermína Melicharová. Vátsjájanova Kámasútra, která vznikla někdy ve. 4.-5: století našeho letopočtu, je nejstarším dochovaným spisem, jenž se vědecky zabývá rozkoší, jedním z trojího smyslu života. Trochu zjednodušeně řečeno - je to podrobná učebnice lásky, v níž autor, odvolávaje se často na starší své předchůdce v tomto vědním oboru, podává ucelené poučení o milostném hemžení ve staré Indii.
