Excerpt from Critical and ExegeticalTimothy is only once mentioned elsewhere in the N. T and that is in Heb. Xiii. 23. It is very improbable that the Timothy there mentioned is another person; and from the passage we learn that when the epistle was written, he was again freed from an Imprisonment, and that its author, as soon as he came, wished, along with him, to visit those to whom the epistle was directed.
