Más información sobre el libro
Crafting Character echoes the 'red thread' connecting all of the diverse projects of Chybik + Kristof Architects (CHK), be it adaptive reuse, a new, meticulously designed public building as an icon or a large scale development. CHK's attitude is grounded in a deep respect for, and sensitivity to the local conditions, finding and fulfilling existing potential and at the same time not being afraid of experimentation and playfulness. This book comprises 14 studio projects (built, unbuilt, concepts and competitions) in 8 themes ranging from context, adaptive reuse, public actors prefabricated modularity, affordability, integration, materiality, to self initiated transformations. The projects speak with their own voices, inviting you into the playful world of CHK.
