Más información sobre el libro

Long before Captain Jean-Luc Picard commanded the legendary Starship Enterprise, he fell deeply in love with Doctor Beverly Crusher. Despite his feelings, he remained her close friend and daily breakfast partner. When Beverly leaves the Enterprise to become the chief medical officer of Starfleet, Picard feels the loss acutely. His grief intensifies when he learns she has been declared missing in action on a distant planet, presumed dead. Picard is sent to the bleak, frozen world of Kevratas, where the Federation is the only hope for the plague-ravaged natives. He is joined by two former colleagues from his time on the Starship Stargazer: Pug Joseph, who has a troubled past, and Doctor Carter Greyhorse, a former convict. Together with a Romulan who has distanced himself from his people, they embark on a mission to find Beverly and succeed where she could not. Meanwhile, on the Romulan homeworld, political turmoil brews following the fall of Praetor Shinzon. Senator Tal'aura, his supporter, faces opposition from Commander Donatra and her warbird fleets due to her handling of rebellions in the Empire. One such rebellion is on Kevratas, where the struggle for freedom intertwines with the fate of the Romulan Empire. As destinies intertwine, Picard's life will be irrevocably changed.
