In Johannesburg, South Africa, 1974, Cissy Abrahamse stands in the shadow of a used-car dealer's sign, watching a door that had been open earlier, revealing unopened biscuit boxes. The cold cement floor echoes with footsteps as she pleads for food, "Please, Mister. Me and my brother are very hungry." Tragically, Cissy becomes the eighth victim in a series of deaths linked to the Twin Sisters café, where street children, driven by hunger, fall prey to the café's owner, Johnny Weizmann.
