Más información sobre el libro

This book is the culmination of years of research influenced by the pioneering works of Sah and Stiglitz. We acknowledge their significant contributions that have united us in this collaboration, despite our differing scientific backgrounds—Catalani focuses on quantitative methods while Clerico approaches economics qualitatively. We express gratitude to the Editor of the Rivista Internazionale di Scienze Economiche e Commerciali for allowing us to use modified versions of previously published papers, which constitute Chapters I and III of Part I and Chapter I of Part II. Special thanks to Ms. Laura McLean for her meticulous revision of our English. The publication was made possible by a grant from the Department of Economics, University of Turin, Italy. The book is structured into two main parts. Part I explores various models of decision-making structures, including the superiority of unanimity, the efficiency of majority rules, team cooperation versus independent assessments, the dynamics of leadership and dependence, and the decision-making processes in political organizations. Part II delves into pyramid decision structures, discussing their properties, dependence, and the interplay of organization, loyalty, and efficiency. The concluding section summarizes the findings and insights presented throughout the book.
