This book is a selection of the latest research in the field of Holocaust studies as presented at the 26th Annual Scholars' Conference in the Holocaust and the Churches (1996) in a special volume dedicated to Yehuda Bauer. It includes new research by some of the most prominent scholars in the field of Holocaust studies and addresses recent issues in the field, such as the Uniqueness Debate, Antigypsyism, the Deniers, and Post-Holocaust Jewish-German Dialogue. It is intended for use in colleges and universities and in the training of teachers in those states where Holocaust education has become mandated.
