Informations provenant du libraire parisien Christophe Daviet-Thery: "This new work by S. Levine is concerned with the subject of color. Inspired by the Polychromie Architecturale - a complex color scheme designed by the Swiss architect Le Corbusier in 1931 for modern interior decoration - the three works entitled Salubra 4, 5 and 7 each consist of monochromes painted on mahomagy plates in 14 different colors. Le Corbusier had developed the polychromie architecturale according to his experience as a painter of Purism. The selection of color tones is based on a color "family" defined already in 1921 by Le Corbusier and his peer, the painter Amédée Ozenfant. This color "family" is composed of tones interacting "constructively" and was called the Large series ("Grande gamme"). It had been used by many major painters of the European tradition, among them Raffael in his fresco "Trionfo di Galatea" at the Villa Farnesina in Rome (1521).^
