Following an explosion, known only as the Great Flash, the Earth is rendered nothing more than a vast wasteland. It is now ruled by mutated creatures and strange humanoids. An orphan, Weaver, spends his days scavenging the desert while a prisoner, Tyde, spends hers locked in a deep underground bunker. However, despite the vast distance between them, their lives are intertwined. When Weaver discovers a mysterious object buried in the sand, and Tyde escapes her captors, they both realise they need each other to unlock the secrets of the wasteland.
