Biologics in general medicine

The concept for this book originated at a symposium on biologics held by ZAFES at the University of Frankfurt am Main in September 2005. Esteemed researchers specializing in biologics convened to share insights on this emerging field. Recognizing the symposium as a unique source of concentrated information, the editors proposed creating a compendium to inform a broader audience of scientists and clinicians. The response from attendees and other prominent figures in the field was overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to contribute relevant chapters on the latest advancements. Driven to address the existing information gap, the project was expedited, presenting a significant challenge for the editors. However, they are grateful that the timeline was only extended by a few months due to the dedication of the contributors. This book compiles the most current knowledge on biologics, authored by seasoned professionals in the field. The contents include an introduction to the definition and classification of biologics, among other topics, reflecting the collaborative effort to disseminate vital information in this rapidly evolving area of research and application.
