Más información sobre el libro
This book gathers together a range of essays and proposals whose intent it is to expand current discussions on how education can take place today within dance, choreography and the performing arts. It has been developed as an extension of the open conference, MODE05, that took place between the 13th and 19th of March, 2005, at fabrik Potsdam in Germany.MODE05 aimed at creating a critical platform to creatively question and rethink existing models of dance/choreography education. While strongly focusing on a collaborative process of knowledge production, MODE05 did not intend to evolve into the formulation of one conclusive concept for a possible future program. Around 30 artists and theoreticians, writers and philosophers – all in one way or another involved in arts education – were invited to take part in this conference which evolved into a considerably experimental space.
