Co-editors of the volume include a diverse group of experts from various fields. The Internet serves as a crucial infrastructure, currently supporting 2.5 billion users, and its continued development is essential for fostering innovation and sustainable economic growth. Research into Future Internet infrastructures is therefore imperative. The Future Internet Assembly (FIA) is a prominent conference that unites participants from over 150 research projects within the European Union Framework Programme 7 (FP7). These projects focus on several interconnected areas, including the future network infrastructure that connects people, devices, and content; cloud computing; the Internet of Services; and public-private partnerships on Future Internet initiatives. This volume features 26 full papers selected from 45 submissions, organized into sections covering software-driven networks, virtualization, programmability, autonomic management, computing and networking clouds, the Internet of Things, and enabling technologies alongside economic incentives. The contributions reflect the latest advancements and research findings, highlighting the collaborative efforts to shape the future of the Internet and its applications across various domains.
