The Audi Urban Future Award is looking into the future and posing questions such as: How important will the feeling of community be in 2030 and how will people then move around in cities? In an exhibition in Istanbul’s Hasköy district, presented in October 2012, the five architectural teams that participated in the Award showed their visions for the future of mobility in their own metropolitan regions. The exhibition ranged from a vision for Istanbul (team: Superpool) to Boston/Washington in the USA (‘Boswash’; team: Höweler + Yoon Architecture) via Mumbai (team: CRIT), the Pearl River Delta in China (team: NODE Architecture & Urbanism) and finally São Paulo, Brazil (team: Urban-Think Tank).
