The philosophical inscription of Diogenes of Oinoanda

A complement to Smith's 1993 edition of Diogenes, this volume is a report on the stones themselves rather than an edited text. An English translation, full critical notes and extensive bibliography can be found in the earlier edition and are not repeated here. Each stone is drawn and described, find-spots being noted along with many photographs. Printed text follows after each drawing and new evidence, including two new fragments, is presented.
