Figures published by the Association of British Insurers reveal the Insurance Industry detected 125,000 dishonest insurance claims valued at GBP1.3 billion in 2016. It is estimated that a similar amount of fraud goes undetected each year so it is unsurprising that Insurers invest at least GBP200 million each year to combat it.
