For three years, from 2013 onwards, the Smoke et Dust collective made an old welding factory in Ghent the focal point of their activities, a laboratory that launched its members into unknown directions, constantly sharpening their sense of improvisation and reinvention. "We understood that the act of occupying and taking possession of the site was not the goal of our work at all."
