Volcanology of the A154N kimberlite at Diavik

The study focuses on the enigmatic eruptions of kimberlite volcanoes, which lack historical records and preserved deposits. Through field and laboratory research on five kimberlite deposits at the A154N volcano in Diavik, NWT, Canada, the thesis offers valuable insights into the explosion styles, magma fragmentation, and deposition processes. The research provides crucial data on deposit geometries and age relationships, linking volcanic activity to diamond distribution within kimberlite pipes, thus enhancing the understanding of these volcanic phenomena.
