The Post-Resurrection Appearance Stories of the Gospel Tradition: A History-Of-Tradition Analysis with Text-Synopsis

Focusing on the Easter appearance stories, this study addresses a significant gap in New Testament research by employing form-critical methods to analyze their origins. It challenges the prevailing notion that these narratives should be excluded from discussions of Easter faith. The author explores the distinctions and relationships among the stories, investigates potential pre-redactional forms, and examines similarities in content. Additionally, the work considers analogies from primitive Christianity and suggests avenues for further inquiry into the historical experiences behind these narratives.
