Murder in Montparnasse

Set in 1920s Australia, the story follows Phryne Fisher as she investigates a murder linked to a group of Australian soldiers who witnessed a crime in Paris a decade earlier. With two of the soldiers now dead under suspicious circumstances, Phryne's friends Bert and Cec seek her help, fearing for their lives. As she uncovers the mystery, Phryne grapples with personal turmoil, including her lover Lin Chung's impending marriage, which disrupts her once peaceful life.
