Shifting the Kaleidoscope

Focusing on culture shock and reverse culture shock, this study presents them as transformative experiences for educators in diverse environments. It features narratives from four returned Peace Corps volunteer educators, illustrating how their international experiences reshaped their identities and teaching methods. Utilizing a post-structural hermeneutic framework, the analysis reveals alternative interpretations of their stories. The metaphor of a kaleidoscope symbolizes a dynamic curriculum, emphasizing the creation of new perspectives through varied cultural lenses.
