Structure and Phase properties of some Monovalent Metal n-Alkanoates

Focusing on the structural features of long-chain monovalent metal n-alkanoates, this work explores the complex phase behavior and molecular structure correlations within metal carboxylate systems. Using techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier Transform Infrared, and Solid State NMR spectroscopies, the study delves into the extensive polymorphism and self-assembly lamellar packing of these compounds. Despite decades of research, it addresses lingering questions about their phase behavior, offering a comprehensive assessment of their properties and structural characteristics.
